How to Obtain Cyber Essentials Certification

Obtaining Cyber Essentials certification is simple and quick and involves three simple steps:

1. Choose Your Certification Level: Select either Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus.
   

2. Complete the Self-Assessment Questionnaire: Fill out the questionnaire and submit it to BiP Solutions for review.
   

3. Receive Your Certificate: Once approved, the IASME Consortium will issue your certificate.

Upon certification, you’ll receive branding to use on materials like tender bids for public contracts.

Timeline for Certification

After purchasing Cyber Essentials, you will get access to the members’ area to complete the self-assessment questionnaire. This form is straightforward and can be completed in a few hours. Support is available through help buttons and the contact form.

You have three months to submit your assessment. Most customers finish within seven days due to the support provided. Once submitted, our team will review it within a few days and then contact you about the next steps.

Participants in the Application Process

The process slightly differs between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. Regardless of the level, here are the three main stages:

1. Access and Complete the Questionnaire: Gain access to the questionnaire in the members’ area and complete it at your convenience. For Cyber Essentials Plus, the initial certification must be completed first.
   

2. Review and Liaison: After submission, our team will review your application and contact you if additional information is needed. For Cyber Essentials Plus, an on-site visit will be scheduled.
   

3. Certification Issuance: Once approved, QG Business Solutions will issue your certification.
